Hello everyone today I bring you a review of SNP's Bird's Nest 90% Soothing Gel. I got first tempted to buy this when someone talked wonders about it in the Asian Beauty forum in Reddit around 6 months ago. I was impressed by how gorgeous the bottle looked in pictures (yes, I have a weakness for that) and tried buying it straight from SNP, unsuccessfully, so I ended up ordering it from Amazon. I had to wait around 3 months for it to arrive because the seller didn't offer Amazon prime, nor any other form of fast shipping, and custom inspections where I live are dreadfully slow :'( When it finally arrived, I was amazed not only by the beauty of the packaging IRL, which almost looks like a mystic item you'd find in a Legend of Zelda temple, but also, the size. It is indeed enormous! So, I started using this as the final step of my morning skincare routine as a setting moisturizer.
I had read that this did not leave a sticky or tacky sensation, and I found this to be somewhat true. It doesn't, but you have to give it quite some time to fully absorb, or else, it does feel tacky. Also, NEVER apply your primer, BB cream, foundation or whatever before this has fully absorbed, or else, it will clump your makeup and nobody wants that.
I waited to make this review, because I wanted to fully see it live up to it's potential for a long time. I used it continually for around a month, and then stopped, because I didn't notice too many changes. However, as soon as i did this, around 2 weeks from that, my face's oily zones started to go rogue again, so I figured the gel was quite helping after all, so I started using it again. It has been 2 months since then, and the bottle isn't even halfway empty (loving that). My skin definitely feels a lot more soft and also, it is kind of less oily. My skin has always been mixed type, and it used to be obscenely oily in my T-Zone, but this has quite diminished since I've been using the gel. Also, this is just a side effect for me I guess, because I never read this was meant to cause that, my pores have been significantly minimized on my cheekbones and I can only blame SNP's gel, since I'm not currently using any other skin product oriented to pore minimizing.
Also, it's a light moisturizer, so if you are not particularly fond of heavy creams, this will work like a charm for you.
My final grade is a 9, only because I really hate the absorption waiting time. Other than that this is quite a good and affordable product :)

Gel. Me vi tentada por primera vez a comprarlo cuando alguien habló maravillas de el en el foro de Asian Beauty de Reddit hace como 6 meses. Me impresionó lo hermosa que lucía la botella en las fotografias (si, tengo debilidad por eso) e intenté comprarlo directamente con SNP, sin éxito, asi que termine pidiendolo por Amazon. Tuve que esperar aproximadamente 3 meses para recibirlo, porque el vendedor no ofrecía Amazon Prime ni ningún otro tipo de envío rápido, y las inspecciones aduanales en donde vivo son hórridamente lentas :'( Cuando finalmente llegó, me impactó no sólamente la belleza del empaque en la vida real, que casí parecía un item místico digno de cualquier templo de Legend of Zelda, si no tambien su tamaño. ¡Es en verdad enorme! Asi pues empecé a utilizarlo como el paso final de mi rutina matutina, como hidratante final.
Había leído que no deja sensación pegajosa o extraña y corroboré que es verdadero, en cierto modo. No deja sensación, pero tienes que darle bastante tiempo (unos 10 minutos) para que se absorba del todo, pero antes de ese tiempo si se siente gracioso. Además. NUNCA hay que aplicar el primer, BB Cream, base o demás, antes de que se haya absorbido bien del todo, o de lo contrario provocará que tu maquillaje se agrume un poco y nadie queremos eso.
Esperé bastante tiempo para hacer esta review porque queria esperar a ver el potencial completo del producto por cierto tiempo. Lo utilicé continuamente por alrededor de un mes y luego me detuve, porque no había notado cambios excepcionales. Sin embargo, en cuanto dejé de usarlo, las zonas grasas de mi rostro, empezaron a enloquecer de nuevo, y me di cuenta de que el gel si que me habia ayudado despues de todo, asi que volvi a usarlo. Han pasado 2 meses desde entonces, y la botella no va ni a la mitad (no es queja, dedsde luego jaja) Mi piel definitivamente se siente mas suave y ha disminuido sus niveles de grasa. Mi piel siempre ha sido mixta y solía ser particularmente rebelde en la zona T, pero esto casi ha desaparecido desde que utilizo el gel. Además, aunque creo que esto sólo sucedió conmigo porque en ningún lado leí que esto fuera un efecto esperado del producto, mis poros se han visto significativamente minimizados en la zona de los pómulos, y sólo puedo atribuirlo al gel de SNP, ya que no estoy utilizando ningún otro producto de cuidado facial orientado a minimizar poros en este momento.

Además, es un hidratante muy ligero, asi que si no eres particularmente amiga de las cremas pesadas, este te funcionará como magia.
Mi calificación final es 9, sólamente porque detesto tener que esperar a que se absorba. Fuera de eso, este es un producto muy bueno y a un precio decente. :)
